The long-anticipated results of the MOSES study were presented to an audience of cardiologists and investigators during a satellite symposium held at the XXVI Congress of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), 30 August 2004, Messe-München, Munich, Germany. Chaired by Michael A Weber and Giuseppe Mancia, the satellite symposium entitled ‘Blood pressure control and beyond: secondary prevention of stroke with eprosartan’ comprised an informative scientific programme delivered by a distinguished faculty. Topics covered included the cerebroprotective effects of antihypertensive therapy, stroke prevention from a neurological perspective, and a look at the therapeutic profile of eprosartan. Professor Joachim Schrader, the principal investigator of MOSES, presented the long-awaited final results of the study. View the symposium programme.
